{Sorry, guys. I was on vacation.}
Alex blinked as she heard a boy call for her, and stopped abruptly. The boy that had called her name was walking her direction, and she felt the heat rise in her cheeks. It wasn't that the boy had noticed her that was the problem. It was the fact that three had sat down as an audience.
But, the one talking to her held her attention for the moment. He's quite cute. She noticed, as he took her hand and kissed it, and realized that he had complimented her. "W-why, thank you." She said, unsure of what to do. Along with her memory, Alex had lost all of the knowledge of dealing with boys, so she was once again at a loss. Part of her wanted to try dancing again so she could remember, but it would be rude. That much she did know.
Alexis looked over at the boys behind him and watched as one of them lifted his wand. She let out a little gasp and covered her mouth as the spell hit, causing small boils to crawl across the boy's skin. Eyes wide, she glanced from the two boys to the one in front of her, unsure of what to do. A little shaken, she pulled out her wand, though she couldn't do much with it anyway. First these boys had watched while she danced, and now they seemed to be on the brink of a duel, right in front of her very eyes.

Gyan grinned, his hand still on his wand. The girl had finaly noticed them, and Pepe seemed to be fuming. It was too much fun, finally having a target to practice hexes and curses on, he took the next chance he got. He stood up and pointed his wand at Pepe again, shouting the first curse that came to mind.
"Levicorpus!"
Pepe was jerked violently into the air by his ankle almost as if grabbed by in imaginary fish hook. He strode over to where Pepe was hanging ten feet in the air, keeping his wand pointed at him."Who's the blushing fool now, you conceited bastard?" Gyan shouted, a smirk on his face.

Alex gasped as the boy was lifted into the air by his ankle. She had never seen any magic like it before, but knew that enough was enough. Searching her brain for some sort of spell, she recalled one of the spells that had been in her make-up work from Defense Against the Dark Arts. It was the only spell she had accomplished on the first try. "Expelliarmus!" She said, aiming for the boy's hand. A jet of red light shot from her wand, but then she wondered what affect it would have on the boy in the air. Eyes wide with what she had done, she wondered if the boy would come crashing down, or if he'd remain in mid-air, suspended by a spell.

Gyans wand soared out of his hand, landing in the grass not too far from him. Pepe remained suspended in the air. Gyan simply walked over, grabbed his wand and walked back to his original spot, wand pointed directly at the girls heart.
"You've just made a mistake. It is your first offence against me and I'll let it slip. But mark my words, if you ever attack me again, you will regret it." He said harshly. Anger was swelling up in him as countless incantations soared through his head, he resisted the urge to yell them out. Something had taken over him. He wasn't his usual self. \
He noticed this and began to try and clear his mind, calm the storm, do anything he could. But they remained. He kept his stance, wand pointed at the girl, Pepe floating in the air. "Now, why exactly did you attack me?"

Alexis jumped a little at his harsh tone, but her wand remained lifted. She realized there was little she could do if a duel did start. Expelliarmus could only help her so far. Despite that knowledge, however, she wasn't frightened. Her eyes were narrowed, and her face turned a little bit red. "No offense meant, but I think you're a little too confident that you can harm me. In case you haven't noticed, we're in a school full of powerful witches and wizards, who may well come to my aid whether it is their business or not. And I consider what I just did completely in the right. You have no authority to hex someone, no matter what they said. I believe a little self-control is in order."
But she hurried on, for fear of his attack at her words. "I am not going to sit here and let you two boys," Alexis stared pointedly at the one hanging in the air as well, for he had obviously offended the other. "begin a duel right in front of my very eyes. And, I'm also a strong believer in fair play. Fine, attack him. But give him a window of opportunity to hit back."
She'd had no idea where the words had come from, and felt that perhaps bits of her memory were returning again, but continued to glare at the boy. "I have no wish to attack you again, but until your wand lowers, mine will not either. I have every right to defend myself, and this boy that you attacked so freely and seemingly without thought."
{Hehe. Typical Gryffindor personality coming through. She sounds like some kind of Superhero.}

Gyan simply thought "Typical Gryffindor. Always too headstrong for their own good.."
"Fine, I'll let him down. But you should learn to think before you speak. As you can plainly see" He waved his hand and muttered "Libericorpus". The boy fell the ten feet and landed in a crumpled heap. "We are quite alone. And not too many students here will attack a wizard who knows more than his and the next two years combined." He said this with a nasty smile, keeping his wand raised.
"This," he said kicking Pepe with his foot. "Is simply play. I was at my own liberty to attack him if I wanted to, and I did. Feel free to defend him if you wish, but don't expect an outcome that will appear to your liking."
{Yes, but most people who act like heros are all talk, or most of it anyway ;]}

{True. But sadly, Alexis can't remember anything to know whether she is all talk or not. She's lucky to know her own name.}
Alexis lost a good deal of her confidence, and felt herself shrivel a bit. The memories that might have been there were gone now. She felt it. Upset, she glared at the boy who had just fallen, as if it were his fault that she couldn't remember anything. "Yeah, no one's around." She said, looking at the lake and it's surroundings. "But someone would have come running at the sound of a duel." It was more of a passing comment, not really a challenge. That bit of her was gone now.
"What are you all here for anyway?" She said, turning away awkwardly. She was a little embarrassed that she had reacted that way.

Gyan lowered his wand and stood up straight. "I came down to the lake to think things out." He said, eyes narrowing at her tone. The fight seemed to have left her now that he stepped up to her retort. "They just followed me."

Alexis watched as he lowered his wand and realized that her own wand-hand was limp. She hastily stuck the wand in her pocket and nodded. "I came to . . ." Truth was, she had been down there to try and regain her memory. That was what the dancing had been for. But do I need to let him know that? "I guess you could say that was why I was down here, too."
And then, suddenly sick of hiding all the time, she just said it. "I can't really remember much of my past. Dancing is one of the only things I can remember at all." Alex grimaced. "And I can't even do that properly. It's like, I remember how, but something's not connecting."

Gyan nodded. "If you knew someone who knew Legilemency, they could extract those memories for you. I would, but I'm only an Occlumens. That is, I can only keep people out of my head" He explained. Memories, they always got in the way.

Alexis blinked. "Is it really that easy?" She asked, unsure. If Legilimency was the answer, she would try to find someone who knew it, but she wasn't even all that sure of what it meant. Alex was glad when he explained what an "Occlumens" was, but it was still rather vague.
"Where could I find someone that knew Legilimency? Is it hard?" She asked curiously.

Gyan saw her confused expression and began to explain. "Legilimency is baisically mind reading. To most wizards it requires a wand and an incantation, but those with enough practice can do without. Occlumency is the opposite, mind blocking. Both are extremely handy. And no, I doubt you'll find anyone here who could even give you the definition. I know the spell for Legilimency, but I don't want to try it incase I delve too far and see things I don't want to." He finished.

Alexis listened in awe at the definition. "Oh. I guess I'll have to find some other way, then. If there is another way." The realization came. A knot formed in her throat and she looked away for a moment.
"And there's no guarantee it would work anyway, is there?" Alex said, a little hoarse. "I mean, nothing's ever guaranteed I suppose. And I can't remember anything to tell you if there's stuff you don't want to see. That'd be selfish to ask."
"Well," Alexis started, looking at the sun. "I guess I'll leave, then." And she walked towards the castle, picking up speed as she got closer. I might never get my memory. She thought, and tears stained her cheeks as she broke into a dead run.

Gyan suddenly remembered, "My brother is a Legilimens. And a really good one to boot. And we have a pensive! That would keep us from seeing her memories.." He looked up to tell the girl, but she had allready bolted towards the castle.
He glanced down at the groaning heap that was Pepe, and grimmaced. What a git.
He gathered his stuff and walked back to the castle, decideing to tell her what he had remembered next time he saw her.
