The trees rustled ever-so-gently overhead, and what was at first a light breeze blew a cold wind from over the lake, heralding the late-coming winter. It was bright and silent and sunny out, despite the cold. No one was about the lawns, as a matter of fact, the whole grounds and school looked utterly deserted. Along the edge of the Forbidden Forest, hugging the treeline, a large orange marmalade cat trotted in search of whatever cats searched for. It's back was orange with darker reddish stripes, and its legs, face, and underbelly were a pristine white. It stopped momentarily, looking up at an imaginary sound. This was where Fork had told Aislin to meet her.
((Xander gets to arrive by chance. >:3 ))

Aislin wandered through the trees from her trip through the forest. She had gone in earlier than when she was supposed to meet Fork, so that she could find a place to go on full moons. She perked up at a strange, but familiar scent and turned sharply. She saw a large orange feline and she cocked her head to one side. It had an sura similar to Fork's, but it was a cat...it was a cat.
Well, I'm a werewolf, anything is possible I suppose, she thought. She walked closer to the cat, all to aware that she herself smelled like a wet canine. "[red]Do I know you, kitty?[/red]" she asked quietly.

All too clearly, the cat's eyes glinted in the light--the left blue, the right brown. It stood as Aislin drew nearer, meowing loudly one time. It turned in a tight circle and trotted off along the forest edge again, glancing back to see if Aislin was following. After a few moments it turned back to Aislin and, standing up, placed it's front paws on her waist, sniffing her lightly. It sneezed violently, and sat back down. "I suppose you've got something to tell me as well?" It was Fork's voice, but it didn't seem to come from anywhere, merely appearing in Aislin's head.

[[My turn? I can retract this if not.]]
Xander felt his shoe crush a thin twig, retracting it to prevent himself from falling over. Head whipping around, his ears remained highly attentive as he heard a slight rustling sound, dashing through the leaves and curious forms of vegetation that resided here. He continued on, though apprehensive.
Perhaps it would've been better to stay inside-- oh, but it was so utterly boring in there! Why'd they make him arrive so early if he wasn't going to be starting classes until next term!? He could've stayed at home with Adalicia... or, well, something. Something more interesting--like videogames. Did they have those here? He huffed. Apparantly not, nooo, magic was 'cooler' than Final Fantasy and Samus.... Nah, here they blew up stuff for real. And he wasn't allowed to even try.
Xander came to halt, looking down to see an interestingly colored cat, and he smiled despite himself, though more out of amusement at finding such an ordinary creature in this realm of mystics. His eyes traversed across the nearby shoes, trailing up the connected figure to find another girl. He suddenly began to wonder if he’d been sent to an all-girls school, but before the thought could even finish entering his mind he felt his mouth open involuntarily:
“Who’re you?”

At Xander's voice, the cat sprang to it's feet, hair rising in a ridge along it's spine. It let out a soft yowl and leapt up to a nearby branch, meowing loudly at him. After a few moments of a sort of staring contest, it turned and began carefully traversing the branches laced between the trees, edging slightly deeper into the forest. It turned, giving him and Aislin a sharp glance over it's orange shoulder.

"Jesus Christ kid! Scare her why don't you?" Aislin yelled. She walked toward the cat, almost completely convinced that this was her best friend. "I'm a werewolf..." she whispered so only the cat could hear. Then she turned back to the boy.
"Who am I? I think the question would be who the hell are you? Don't you know you aren't supposed to be in the forest--and don't say anything to me about it because I have an agreement with the headmistress..." she snapped. Oh nuts... she thought glancing at the cat. Tonight is a full moon isn't it? Yes it is. Which would explain why you are being so rude to this boy,[/i]" came Artimus's voice in her head.
The wolf trotted over and put his front paws up on her chest. "Sorry. It's a full moon tonight, and I'm very irritable," she muttered so that only Artimus could hear.
"Tell the human boy, not me![/i]" he said sternly.
Aislin turned to the boy. "Look, I'm sorry. I guess my grouchiness can be explained by a severe case of Pms." she said. Pfft. Like she would tell him that she was a werewolf.

Xander blinked steadily.
He hadn't caught sight of the wolf before, but as it stepped further into his vision he felt himself unconsciously stepping back to match. Thankfully he had the stupidity not to turn and run from the mere acknowledgement of such a vicious creature. Well, it hadn't attacked him so far.
More on his mind was this girl wandering the middle of the aptly named 'Forbidden Forest' and telling him to get out. In a rather frightening manner of her own, dare he say it, as well.
It suddenly occured to the poor Slythering that he should answer. He smirked.
"Me? I'm one of the millions of transfers that have been occuring around here as of late," he announced with a dramatic bow, right arm held out as if opening a cape. "And quite frankly, it does not matter to me where and where not I am supposed to be--" He stopped, eyeing the cat he supposedly frightened.
He pointed to it bluntly, choosing to ignore the wolf she appeared to be talking to earlier. "Yours?"

Fork narrowed her eyes. Wondering if she could talk to the boy as she could to Aislin, she might as well give it a try. "Most certainly not, unless in the sense that she is my keeper and I am hers!" She didn't quite understand how she could speak to them without just opening her mouth and speaking, but if it worked, why not? It didn't even occur to her that neither of them--well, maybe Aislin did--realized that this was a Fork and not a cat. Or the same thing, really, but the recognition was in question.

Xander made a strangled yelp with a look of obvious startlement, looking about hysterically. It took a moment to settle down and lay questioning eyes on the tabby. Orbs then strayed up with the same expression to Aislin, who he expected to answer him.
Because cats can't talk.
Telepathic or not. Wizarding realm or muggle.
After thinking it over for a moment, however, at the mention of wizarding realm, he felt more accepting, if still unbelieving, of the situation. He smiled. The cat had a formal type of speaking which he found amusing. Walking up to the creature, he knelt down low enough to look at it's eyes evenly.
"Hellooooo." His pronounciation was oddly musical.
[[Wait for Chels now?]]

[[Omfg, I am soooo sorry]]
Aislin felt like hitting the boy for such a stupid statement. "[red]She bloody well is not 'mine.'[/red]" she said just before the cat spoke.
The kid made a strangled sort of yell and Aislin laughed, knowing as soon as the cat had spoken that it was Fork.
"[red]Surprise, Surprise,[/red]" she said with a smirk on her face as she passed the boy and stopped in front of her friend. "[red]Well, meeeeeeeow![/red]" she said, replacing 'meow' with her usual "well d**n!"
"[red]Jesus Christ, you could have told me sooner.[/red]"
She glanced at the boy and stifled another laugh. "[red]A friend of yours?[/red]" she asked.

[[-cough- ahem, Fork?]]
Xander raised an eyebrow. Now the girl was talking to the cat. He needed to learn to be more accepting of the wizarding oddities and constant paradoxes that just plain out hurt his head.
"I'm afraid I don't know any cats by name," he answered with a look of slight disdain. He wasn't so lonely to have ever really needed a pet nor wanted one. Too much of a hassle. Their cute moments weren't enough to convince him to be their caretaker.
"She is a cute kitty though, huh?" he commented after a moment, reaching out to pet the tabby's orange pelt.

Aislin wished she'd bite him. That was her only thought as he reached out to pet her.

Fork leaned into their attentions, purring lightly, and amused by their reactions to her. She padded lightly down Aislin's arm and took up residence across her shoulders, meowing gently. Speaking to both of them, she tossed her head, saying, "Yes, but surprises are ever so much fun."

"[red]Oh, pish posh.[/red]" Aislin sighed and sat down on the ground. "[red]Speaking of surprises...umm...well...me and a...certain fellow...have this...thing...umm...[/red]" She didn't know exactly how to tell Fork about Stradivarius.

Xander smiled in agreement to the cat's words, but became suddenly left out as the other girl began speaking. He gave her an odd look.
"Is this something you should say while I'm here?" he inquired, noting the feminine-like style of her stuttering and how this was perhaps some personal issue. Xander raised an eyebrow quizzically. He wasn't one you ought spill secrets or whatnot in front of. However, he quickly reverted to a mocking position, one hand on his hip and the other bent in the air like a teapot spout, hand piveting on the wrist with his words.
"So me n' this guy all like-- have this thing and umm<33 I simply swear he's the love of my life! I like... totally think this is working out! =D"
