"There will be other first years as well. You wont be the only one who wont get it right away. No one does really." Sophia smiled at her trying to reassure her.

But the other first years will have an idea of what they are supposed to be doing unlike me I am completely clueless of what to do. Just then Noxi began to feel as if she was being watched from a distance. A distance that was just far enough to be out of sight.

"Well maybe not. I don't know what I'm doing really. My parents were both muggles so I don't have any idea on what to do." she shrugged glancing at Noxi.

Yeah so we are on the same boat in terms of knowledge of magic and that sort of thing.

"For the most part. If you want I could teach you two spells I know." She smiled as she pulled out her wand.

That would be amazing if you would. Would you really be willing to teach me right now? at this very moment?

Sophia smiled then nodded.
"Sure! Keep in mind I only know two though." She chuckled and pulled out a match from her robe pocket.
She snapped it in half an set it between them. "Ok now take you wand out and clear your mind a little then point your wand at the match and say Reparo" She smiled as she waited.

Is that all that I have to do? It seems so simple it seems almost too simple. Noxi cleared her mind and thought the magic word. She quietly muttered it to herself and then said it out loud. Reparo. She opened her eyes and saw that the match was still in two pieces. Why did it not work?

She smiled at her again blushing as usual.
"It is ok. It is really hard I know. I didn't get it at first either. Just concentrate hard and keep trying!" She smiled and motioned toward the match for her to try again.

OK concentrate. She muttered to herself as she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Then in a soft voice she said the magic word. REPARO. When she opened her eyes she was amazed to see that the match was no longer broken.

Gyan was sitting behind them for quite a while.
Actually, he had been a moth, and reformed a bit ago when he was sure noone was looking. He sat there and watched the new Gryffindor attempt a Repairing Charm.
"Of course, it takes much more power to fix things bigger than broken matches" He said simply.

Sophia gasped then turned around and stared at Gyan.
"Yeah... but it is good to start out small." she smiled at him then smiled and Noxi. "You did it!" She said giddily.

Yeah well at least I did it on my second try and not my tenth or eleventh. And DUH it takes more power to fix bigger things but it probably takes less power to break things like that branch that you are currently sitting upon. She thought that it would be amazing to break the branch that he was sitting on just to watch him fall and then go crying to the headmistriss cryings to tell her that someone hurt him.

Sophia nodded a little. "Yes and I'll teach you another one, one I haven't gotten yet. I haven't practiced." She shook her head then waited to see if Noxi was up to it.

What does the spell do? Do you know? She wondered what was going to happen and was very eager to learn another spell.
