Chelsea walked back into the classroom swiftly. "[red]I was lucky. Peeves was just down the hallway, coming to ransack the room. Pesky little bugger,[/red]" she said. There was a thin cut across her face that she hadn't noticed yet. "[red]He was throwing ruddy picture frames that were empty. The Baron had already been looking for him for earlier mischief, and happened to find him,[/red]" she explained. "[red]Well I see lots of new faces...[/red]" she said feeling a slight pain. She touched her cheek and saw a bit of red on her fingertips. "[red]d**n ghost,[/red]" she whispered to herself. She brought out her wand and touched her face with the tip. "[red]Episkey,[/red]" she said clearly, and the cut was healed.

Gyan grinned quite sinisterly. A smile much out of his character. "My brother and I have quite a large collection of muggle explosives and fireworks. But what I said was merely a joke." He said to Alexis.
He caught Alysons glare and returned it. "You know, one more glare like that and I just might freeze her face permanently the next time she sneezes" Gyan said casually to Alexis. He was of course, deciding wether he was joking or not.
He turned back to Tomas. "Heh, time to come back from the dead. Class is about to start."

Pepe returned Alyson's grin, and beckoned her to come and sit.
((smiley, smiley, it seems like every other sentence I write is someone or another either blinking or smiling. I feel so redundant.))

[[Yes, but redundant is a fun word, so you're okay.]]
"[red]Have you all learned that yet, actually?[/red]" Chelsea said suddenly, a bit thoughtful. "[red]Episkey, I mean. Has that been taught in a lesson?[/red]" she asked. It would be pretty cool if her injury could have been a demonstration on how the spell was to be use. "[red]In any case, I will teach it to you. You can never know a charm too well...Episkey comes from the Greek word, 'episkeyi' meaning 'repair.' As you may have just seen, it is a healing charm, and can be used on broken bones as well,[/red]" she said.
This was going to be the tricky part; finding something or someone to heal. As morbid as it may seem, Chelsea elected herself. She took out her wand and muttered a soft curse that cut her across the hand.
"[red]Okay. Because I do not want anyone injured and I lack a creative mind, you are all going to take turns healing my hand. Let me know now if blood makes you queasy, and I will reduce the cut to a paper cut. The only reason that I am making the cut larger is because it is more difficult, and you would not usually use a charm on a paper cut,[/red]" she said.
It made sense in her mind, and that was really all that mattered. The curse that she had used to cut her hand was not particularly painful, so she did not mind having to do it over and over again after getting it healed by the students. The only thing worrying her was the fact that Kaelon might find out about the lesson and disapprove. She only sought his approval.

Gyan grinned. "Easy" He thought. He had healed countless wounds, much larger than a papercut before, and could do this charm without even saying the incantation. He raised his hand into the air so he could preform the charm and mabey earn his house some extra points, seeing as how they were in third place.

Chelsea nodded to Gyan with a small smile. He didn't look as though blood would bother him, seeing as how he was so eager to help. She used the curse and slit her wrist--not her most brilliant move--but hey, she was a hands on kinda gal.
"[red]Oh no. Save my life,[/red]" she said in a bored tone so that he knew she wasn't seriously in any danger, with the same little smile on her lips.
"[red]Five points if you can heal the cut to a closed wound, ten to a scar, and twenty if there is no trace,[/red]" she said wearily.

Gyan flicked his wand from his seat. The cut shone a light blue for a second, and all traces of it were removed. He grinned, and slid his wand back to it's holster on his ankle. "Was that okay?" he asked.

Chelsea smiled. "[red]Perfect. Twenty to Ravenclaw--though next time Mr. Salamanece, I would like you to get out of your seat. Part of healing the cut is doing it under the pressure when you see the amount of blood,[/red]" she said.
It was completely true, yet somehow, the words seemed twisted to Chelsea when she said them. Maybe it was from the things she faced in her past....

Gyan grinned. If only she knew what kind of wounds he's healed, or the blood he's seen. Manticore attacks, duel wounds, Quidditch wounds, the list could go on and on.
He began to mindlesly twirl his wand in his fingers.

Kaelon had been happy. He had been coming down the hall with a spring in his step to come sit in on Chelsea's class while he didn't have a class to run himself. Maybe he might have even been coming with a marked excitement causing his stomach to flutter like it hadn't since he had finally taken them away from... their past.
He had been. Until he came to the door to see Chelsea slit her wrist. As one of the first-year Ravenclaws healed it dispassionately, he realized it was merely to be used as an example for her class, but... Kaelon shuddered violently. It was not the only mark on her wrist, and it was something he had never wanted to see again.
Slowly, he turned away from the door. He stood for a moment in indecision, then slowly began trudging away, back the direction he had came.

Chelsea heard a soft shuffle and turned to see Kaelon walking away. She thought, I hope he didn't see that. She caught her breath in her throat, and thought, nuts nuts nuts!
"[red]Class, one moment.[/red]" Those were her only words as she practically sprinted out of the classroom.
Not pausing to be practical, she ran up to Kaelon and caught him in a hug from behind. "[red]I'm sorry...[/red]" she whispered softly to him, meaning every bit of it.

Gyan raised one of his eyebrows as the teacher left. He shrugged, folded a paper crane, and was now making fly carlessly around the room.
"I wonder what that was all about." He thought. "I sensed someone else near the door, but they left..." He pushed the thought away, and seeing as how his crane had some attention, he made it change colors and do flips and such.
People were so easily entertained.

Kaelon bit his lip, squeezing his eyes shut momentarily as Chelsea caught up to him.
"I'm sorry..."
He let out a sigh, and clasped his hands over hers, taking her hands and spinning in a dancelike twirl that ended with them facing, and Chelsea held close against him in his arms. He knew she was perfectly honest, and he drew in a long breath and let it out slowly before speaking.
"You know..." He took one of her hands in his, and turned it palm up, so that her obviously marked wrist was visible. "...Never again." Kaelon finished slowly, unable to make a clear sentence. He lifted her arm and kissed her wrist gently, then let her hand go again. There were matching scars on his own wrists, and neither of them were proud of their marks.
"Never again. ...Okay?" He held her close and whispered.

Darcy ran into the classroom and ran into a couple chairs, because she didn't slow down in time. Red with embarrassment, she picked up one of the chairs she'd knocked over and sat in it. There were a few people in the classroom, but the teacher was gone. Hearing both Gyan and Aex's comments, she smiled a bit.
"So...where'd the teacher go?" she asked.

Gyan had his elbows propped up on the desk with his head resting on his hands when a girl came bolting into the room and knocked into a few chairs and his desk, sending him crashing to the ground along with them, and squeezing a few foul words from his lips. His head smashed into the marble floor, tearing open a cut on his forehead and causing warm blood to flow down on his white face, into his steel eye and drip onto the floor.
He used a hand to lift himself from the floor and rolled over, the side of his face smeared with blood. "Bloody hell..." He muttered under his breath, searching for where his wand had rolled off too.
