Gyan shook his head. "Never heard of her".
He turned to Fork. "And yes, Gyan implied he diddn't mind Fork being around. Your intelligent, Fork. Strange, but intelligent." His eyebrows gave a small twitch. Ever since he started transforming, his eyebrows, or fingers, or ears twitched at anything out of the ordinary, like his antennae.

Johana stared at it for a liitle while longer then shook her head and sat down agian. She smiled at Fork. "I don't mind you around either. You are pretty strange but I love having you around!" She smiled again.

Fork closed her eyes, her face scrunching up with glee as she arched her neck like a cat enjoying attention. "Fork is loved!" she announced happily to no one in particular, more to herself. "Fork likes being around people, " she informed them. "Though nobody likes being around me." She stated, her face growing serious. "They're intimidated, they think I'm insane and pretend to care, but as soon as they can get id of me, they do." Though she addressed both of them, she stared at Johana as she said this. Then she turned to Gyan, fixing her intense, mismatched eyes on him as she tipped her head sideways. "Why do people fear what they consider inferior?" she asked passionately.
Then: "Am I as bad as people think?"
With a jarring return to her previous demeanor, Fork inquired, "I wonder why Gyan is crying and angry at nonexistant ghosts?"
((Note the sudden stop in referring to herself in third person! Whooo, what's going on, eh? Haha. And also not the lack of ability to speak in more than present tense. *sigh* One of these days, she'll figure it out. :3 And if you're wondering about the ghosts line, cats can sense ghosts, (Fork hates them terrbly) and... it's hard to explain, but somewhere in her mind, "previous student=ghost". You get the idea.
And haha, I guess I'm not the only one with side effects from the animal anymore, Gyan? *laughs*))

Gyan looked at her. "People are afraid of what they don't understand, or don't want to beleive exists. They're just insecure like that. Your not bad, Fork. Your just not normal, and people are terrified of that."
Gyan took a small sigh, getting ready to answer her last question, when a thought plopped into his mind. Is it just me, or does Fork greatly resemble some sort of inquisitive cat... He pushed the thought back. Cats and insects dont' mix too well.
"The trophy I chucked belonged to my father." He said, careful not to let his anger start to bubble again.

Fork stared. "What's it like?" After waiting several seconds, she clarified, "Having a father I mean. I mean, no--that's not what I mean..." Fork shook her head. "I mean--ah--uh... um...." Her face dropped thoughtfully to the floor, pouting in a move that, if she had had them, would've fanned her whiskers.
After a few minutes of trying to straighten her mind out, she looked back up at him.
"Hm. I..." she started the sentence with confidence, but then faltered. "...Have.... no idea what I'm trying to say."

Johana leaned against the wall and took everthing in that was spoken. She shook her head then smiled aimlessly not saying a word.

Gyan wasn't affected too much by the question, but it diddn't stop his left forefinger from twitching at it.
"I'm not quite sure, Fork. My father was never around too much after mom died. He was off doing..." Gyan trailed off. He suddenly pulled himself together. He knew he could trust Fork. "Death Eater things. He's in Azkaban because of it." Gyan couldn't stop the lone tear that escaped his eye.

Fork had looked eager when he began speaking, but her face gradually sombered as Gyan spoke, her shoulder's slumping down. For the first time, she noticed that at some point during her earlier speech, she had moved from sitting cross-legged to sitting sort of on her knees, with her feet off to her sides.
"Another point proving that potatoes can't swim, it must be written, " she muttered dispassionately. "Well, one shouldn't worry however, for Fork says that everything could always be worse, and if you say it can't, she can usually come up with a way they could." She gave him a halfhearted smile, but it faded quickly.
After several moments of silence which may have been awkward, but Fork didn't notice, or maybe she wouldn't have known whether they were or not, she told the floor, "Gyan trusts me." The phrase was another indirect question, though Fork did indeed look as though she was speaking to the marble under her.

Gyan grinned a bit. "Actually, Fork, a potato can swim. It all depends on the size of the potato and the motion of the water." His face fell a bit before he spoke again, "My brother always told me it can always be worse, and it can always be better."
The corners of his mouth twitched into a sort of half-hearted grin. "Yes Fork, I trust you."

Fork gave Gyan a look as if she were wondering if he had suddenly gone loopy. "Why does Gyan talk of swimming potatoes? Potatoes should not be taught to swim they should be boiled and eaten. Or maybe thrown. Or you could throw the water. Yes, that would be more satisfying, " she rambled on like this for a few more seconds before trailing off.

Gyan chuckled a bit. Fork had given him the strangest look. Here they were, on the floor of a trophy room, giggling and talking about potatoes. "I never had a taste for potatoes anyway."
He glanced at the window he had chucked the trophy, and wondered if someone had found it. "Fork, why is it so many parents and children hate eachother?" He asked, a second tear worming it's way down his face.

"Because parents don't realize that the kids know more than they d and typically don't trust them from fear that they might do something stupid which they wouldn't have done anyway because they know better. And the kids think the parents should treat them like adults when they don't really deserve it or want it, but they don't realize that. Or both just do despicable things to each other and treat each other like dirt. Or they just don't understand each other at all and blame each other for things that are really nobody's fault, " Fork spouted without seeming to realize that she had just said something unusually rational. For her, at least.
"Except in the case where neither knows the other. Then they just don't care, " she added, with unintended allusion to herself.

"I...I need to visit my father. I need to forgive him, I need to hear his side of the story." Gyan resolved. But he knew it would be the hardest thing he would ever do.

Fork cocked her head to the right. "Gyan concludes. It is a good conclusion, holding grudges is not good for your health."
((Oh, great. Now she's talking like me.))

"Fork...I...won't be able to do this by myself." he realised. He knew that if he wen't to face his father in his cold cell in Azkaban, that he wouldn't be able to face it.
