Gyan stood in the trophy room, admiring a large, golden Sheild set between, a trophy with a snitch on the top of it, and a Defence Against the Dark Arts trophy. All of them had a single name: Iggnatius Odieth Salamanece.
Gyan sighed, his brother had made such a huge impression on this school. Quidditch captain, rewards for special serveces to the school, the works. Of course, he got in too much trouble to be a prefect.
The golden sun slipped in by a single beam, illuminating the dust. This beam brought something to his attention. A small trophy with crossed wands on the top, labled to a name Gyan fought so hard to forget.
Aiden Heiath Salamanece: Gyan's father.

Sophia was wondering along and spotted someone she knew in the room. She strolled in and smiled at him.
"You are....?" She was dreadful with names. She remembered faces but names, not so much. She smiled gently at him and waited his response.
She felt bad for forgetting his name and she turned red. It wasn't that bad but it sue was noticeable. She shook her head trying to forget the fact she was so shy. She folded her arms and waited for a reply.

Fork strode wearily down the corridor. She had been running about the school checking pipelines and air ducts for three hours, and had finally been worn out as she reached the third floor. Tracing lines through every single room in the castle was tiring! She leaned against the wall, grateful for its support, and glanced up the hallway. A door was open slightly. She squinted at it. The room was slightly illuminated, and she could hear someone speaking. She frowned, curiosity tingling in her brain like wind on a cat's whiskers, and she padded oh, so silently up to the door, listening carefully.

Gyan ignored the intruder. He waked over and leant on his knees to examine the trophy. On the plaque at the bottom it read
Aiden Heiath Salamanece For Exeptional Knowledge of Spells and Mastery of Dueling
Gyan reached out and touched the glass, but he diddn't catch the small tear that made its way slowly down the curves of his face.

Sophia didn't notice that he ignored her she just thought he didn't hear her. She spoke again as she remembered his name.
"GYAN!" She bellowed into the small room having it echo. She was delighted she remembered his name then realized she just yelled. She bowed her head turning red. "Do forgive me. I was just delighted I remembered your name." She sighed heavily. "Dreadfully sorry." She sat on the floor almost in a huddle. She was so embarrassed.

A hot flush of anger heated his face. "Sophia, I don't mean to be rude, but now isn't exactly the best time to hear about your forgetfulness." He said, biting off his last word.
His hand was still pressed against the glass containing his fathers trophy. Who was this man who called himself his father? Gyan placed his other hand on the glass, and stared hard at the trophy, his head swarming.

Sophia clasped her hand over her mouth and just watched Gyan as he was looking at the trophy. She bowed her head and waited till he spoke to her again.
I shouldn't have come here. Round and round the thought of her being stupid chased others out. She shook her head violently almost.
She just sat there hugging her knees with one hand and clasping her mouth shut with the other. She was dead silent but her mind was screaming things at herself. Her face turned bright red as her thoughts got more violent and mean to herself.

{{Allright, wait for Fork}}
Gyan rounded on the flabbergasted girl. "Look Sophia, if your just going to sit there and blush, yelling at yourself for coming here, get out. I don't want to hear it." He said cooly. Even though he was furious, his face stayed pale, expression unchanged, and his voice remained cool. But he let his eyes do the talking.

Pepe strode nonchalantly down the hallway. Glancing in some surprise at the startled-looking second-year Gryffindor girl--what was her name? ...Fork, that was it-- he stopped, hearing irritated shouting from the door Fork seemed to be eavesdropping at. He frowned, pushing the door open. Gyan. His lips tightened slightly. This was the boy who had hexed him a while back, wasn't it? Yeah, it was. And Tomas certainly hadn't stopped him. Pepe wasn't particularly happy with the two.
He pushed open the door boldly, sweeping Fork behind him so as not to present her to Gyan's view. "Hey!" He addressed Gyan and the blushing girl standing near him. "Gyan, what on earth is wrong with you? First of all, you don't yell at girls, second of all, has she done anything to you? Don't take out your frustration on others, it's not cool. Calm down, okay? Don't be so uptight all the time." He made the speech calmly, attempting to mollify the frustrated Ravenclaw. After a moment's thought, he turned to the girl in the room, offering her his hand. "Here miss, out of the line of fire, please, "Pepe murmured under his breath.

{By the way, Pepe, if you read, I wasn't yelling}
Gyan turned on the new intruder. Just what he needed, somone else intruding on him. "Levicorpus!" He shouted. The familiar curse, once again, yanked Pepe up by the ankle.
"Stay out of this Lopaille!" He barked at the boy hanging by his ankle. He had kept his voice calm, and his anger under controll untill now."You just had to waltz in, playing the hero, diddn't you? Typical Gryffindor, you all have a weakness for heroics. What does it matter whether someone is a boy or a girl? They're all humans. But no, you have to flirt and treat girls like they're perfect little people who's ears will burst at the sound of a swear word, or might have a heart attack if someone asks them to go away!." He said hotly.

Pepe sighed, giving Gyan a disdainful look. "You do seem to like showing off, don't you?" He shook his head, despite his clearly disadvantaged position. "I treat girls the way I do because I respect them, and I believe they should be treated with respect by everyone. Now, if you'd kindly put me down, I will make my way out, because I do have better things to be doing than bandying words with rude, conceited people like yourself." Instead of waiting for Gyan to release him, however, Pepe muttered his own countercurse, dropping himself on his head. He stood up with some dignity, flicking his hair back into order, and strode out.

Fork watched the boy leave, an amused grin quirking the right side of her mouth upward. So much for his bold rescue of Sophia. She snorted quietly with laughter, then realized she had just revealed herself to Gyan. Haha, oops. Oh, well.

"Conceited, me? Why that hypocritical little slime ball. If I diddn't want to have to clean up the mess afterward, I'd half a mind to splatter him down the hall." He thought.
What a perfect day. He found his fathers trophy, and had wanted peace and quiet. Than Sophia came along bellowing his name into the room. Than Pepe Lepew had to show up pretending the hero, and now Fork was laughing at him.
He turned back to the trophy room. There, glittering in the sun almost as if taunting him, his fathers trophy shone. Gyan kicked the glass in, grabbed the trophy and chucked it out the window.
"The only people who get my respect are those who earn it, regardless what gender they are. Frenchie will learn soon enough what happens to those who give their respect and trust so willingly" He muttered basically to noone.

Sophia just watched the whole thing and didn't so much make a noise. She looked horrified though when he cast the spell on the Gyrffindor boy and then when he chucked the trophy out the window just after breaking the glass. She gasped rather loudly as she bowed even though he couldn't see her.
"Sorry to have disturbed you." She stammered as she bowed again. She looked up at him with slight horror in her eyes.
She sighed heavily then walked out of the room rather quickly glancing down and the girl who was crouched near the door. She smiled aimlessly in her direction and wet downstairs.

Gyan stared at the broken glass where his fathers trophy had been. "So, Fork. How're you?" He said casually.
