Gyan finished lighting the tip of the incense stick beside of the large, sapphire collored chair infront of the fire. He rested his elbows on his knees, and his hands supported his chin as he stared into the fire, the light, purple smoke of the incense slowly began to waft itself around the common room.
He diddn't move, hardly breathed as he stared into the roaring fire in the fireplace. He began picking out shapes in the logs and smoke, but never moved.

Sophia stumbling lazily down the stairs into the smoke from the incense inhaling the smoke deep into her lungs. It turned slyly into a yawn as she fumbled around her skirt trying to fix it since it looked weird. She wasn't paying attention and she managed to trip over Gyan. Her head slammed hard into the floor and she let out a slight yelp.
She sat up staring at the fireplace wondering what just happened. She looked around a bit in front of her yawning to get some air back in her body. Her hair swung around as she turned her head vigorously from side to side. Then she looked behind her and saw Gyan. Her eyes got wide and her cheeks turned crimson.
"Are you alright!?" She bellowed standing up quickly offering her hand out to help him up. "I didn't see you there. I'm dreadfully sorry about that. You're not hurt are you?" She smiled kindly as her cheeks dimmed down to a light shade of pink.

The force of Sophia tripping over him had flung him from his chair onto the floor, where his nose collided with the stone, perfectly snapping it to the side. As he got up, he fixed his nose and cleared up his blood with a flick of his wand. He than looked at Sophia, his eyes glazed over. "You know, dragon lavender incense does that to a person sometimes." He said, his voice almost dreamy. He than retook his seat and stared back into the fire.

Sophia stared at him a minute sitting back down next to his chair. She looked almost like his own personal person dog thing then followed him around. She wasn't though. She smiled up at him wondering what to say. She sighed heavily as her eyes started to glaze over also. Her vision got hazy and she smiled looking into the fire as well.
"Why do people do things to hurt other people...?" She felt tears roll out of her eyes unnoticeable. She hung her head letting her hair dangle in her face.

Gyan replied without tearing his gaze from the flame. The atmosphere was a hazy purple, the lone insence stick burning like a lit cigarette.
"Because they can't stand being inferior." He replied.

Sophia tilted her head a little as a question she has been wondering for a long time now crept through her mind slowly and almost in a taunting way. She decided to ask him it even if it was random and odd.
"How do you feel about Isabella?" She stared at the fire as if she wanted to touch in. She didn't know that it was slightly weakening her since it was her opposite.

Gyan knelt down from his chair, his eyes compleatley shadowed over. He could see just fine, it was just a side-affect of the insence.
He rolled up his sleve and stuck his hand into the fire. The skin began to burn and peel, discolor and blister. But Gyan couldn't feel it. He than drew it back out, smoking and hissing, grotesque and burnt. "It's funny, if you just imagine it away, pain dissapeares." He than muttered "Episkey Totalum" and the hand healed perfectly.
"Isabella is a girl who had a lot on her mind right now. She wears her heart on her sleeve, and wants me to take it. But I dont...I just don't love like that. It's not in me."

Sophia just stared at his hand and felt the need to do that too but she didn't. She didn't want to do anything, she didn't feel like moving. She listened to him slightly zoning out a little but she was still aware.
"How do you love then?" she spoke softly. Her voice kind of sounded scary like she was about to go on a mass murder or something. But she sat as still as can be and didn't move.

Gyan continued his peircing gaze into the fire. His lips barly moved with his next words; "I dont."

Sophia stared at the fire a little longer then looked up at Gyan with a mellow stare. She had a half smile, half smirk, half straight look about her. She chuckled slightly but her eyes were still mellow and filled with nothing.
She said only one word in response. Only one word that she knew fit the response. "Wise." She tore her gaze from Gyan and back to the fire. She started to slowly reach for it then decided not to so she stopped dragging her hand loosely back to her lap.

Gyan simply nodded. He pulled out another incence stick, lit it with his wand, and placed it next to the other as it burned out. After it was placed, he muttered "Aquamenti" and a small stream of water erupted from his wand and put the fire out, bathing the common room in total darkness, exerpt the dot of the burning incense.
The lone sun in the darkness of space.

Sophia stared at the small dot of light, a speak of light in the vast ocean of darkness. She sighed lightly wondering if she should speak. She closed her eyes and the speak of light vanished as if someone covered it up quickly and effortlessly. She opened her eye and stared at Gyan. Her eyes adjusted to the darkness so she could see. She smiled lightly.
"What do you think of the new Dark Lord?" She found herself fighting off tears that bellowed into her eyes faster then they ever had before. Her smile faded quickly when the tears showed up.

"He's a sick bastard with an addiction to attacking children. But he's predictable, and now that I have his name, I can help everyone track him down." Gyan said. He drank in the darkness, and spoke again.
"Whoever was influenced by him here is free now."

Sophia let out a slight yelp. She clasped her hand tightly over her mouth. She didn't mean to do that. She hung her head and just let the silence envelop them both until Gyan spoke to reply to her yelp to disturb it.
[[I'm not god-moding. Sorry if it seems like I am. :x]]

(Wouldn't have accused you of it}
"I'm assuming an explanation for that yelp is going to follow this silence?" Gyan asked.
