Nico stopped running, sweat had beaded on his brow from terror and exertion. He supposed that he had made it to a safe place, largely because he knew he was not dead and also that werewolves could run much faster than he could. Gently he set Ranyr on the ground, afraid that he had bruised her leg with his rather ferocious grip. His chest burned and his back and leg muscles ached, unused to such strenuous exercise. Worst of all was Aslin, she could be dead for all he knew, laying bloodied with that monster satiating itself on her flesh. The thought was too much to bear, it made him wonder about Sprightly, she thought things like that all the time. Then he realized he was being a moron, Sprightly was (for once) the last person he needed to worry about.
"Are you alright?" he asked Ranyr "I didn't hurt you or anything, and you're not in shock or anything?" he was a little worried she might smack him. He had something of a track record with girls hitting him when he did something helpful for them. It was extremely annoying, but at least most girls didn't hit very hard.

"I should hope not," the Ravenclaw breathed, not even able to look at the boy and instead her focus nonexistant, blankly looking ahead if anywhere. Her hand was clutched around her robe, holding it against her chest as if attempting to halt her heavy breathing. At least she turned her head to look at him, other hand resting on his shoulder for support.
His features were... curious, as to match the aura that surrounded him. Ranyr felt her eyes dart back and forth from him to the wall, slowly retracting her hand, putting ontop of her other. They both fell by her sides and she collapsed, seated criss-crossed on the floor. It was intentional, however, and she simply hadn't felt like standing at the moment.
"What about you? Or that girl?" she asked after a moment's silence, using a pale finger to trace abstract images on the hardwood floor. Her eyes watched it's movement with mild interest. So, that... well, she didn't want to think about what had happened now, and promptly dismissed it from her mind. That made things easier, but she still had to ease her ever-present conscious.
"We're all right, which is better than all of us being dead," she started, composer regained and stating the obvious, "But as all of us alive is the best-case scenario and definately plausible, where do you think she is? If she's wolf, she might've been able to kill that other... beastie." The finger stopped moving along the floor, and tapped against her chin thoughtfully. She looked to Nico with questioning but otherwise blank eyes. Would she find them or should they go on a wolf-hunt of some sort? If she was even alive, of course. Oh, things became much easier to think through once emotional shock was out of the way.

Aislin came walking down the hallway like nothing was wrong, and she straightened when she heard the voices she was looking for. "[red]Everyone's all right then? Nic?[/red]" she asked as she stuck her head in the room. She was quite out of breath, but she continued to walk like nothing fazed her as she entered the room. "[red]yes, I managed to kill the other 'beastie' if you are inferring that I am one as well.[/red]" she said rather coldly.
[sry it's short, I have no time at the moment.]]

Ranyr smiled. "Not quite."
Brushing herself off, the little Ravenclaw returned to her feet, standing what she presumed full height though she hardly reached, if at all, five feet. So, everything turned out all right after all, ne? Well, save for the fact that as far as she knew a dead 'beastie' was lying up on the tower balcony. Hm, it would've made it more interesting had some tragic physical occurance befallen poor... erm.. Aislin? She attempted remembering from the snippets of conversation she had caught.
Speaking of which: "I'm Ranyr," she introduced with a slight bow of her figure, turning on her heel soon thereafter and walking a few paces. "I hope I haven't been too much of an interference..." the brunette added, pausing to rock on her heels, hands held behind her back which faced them for the moment. To go or to stay, that is the question. However, she felt she'd outlived any welcome she might've had [not that she intended to even be with anyone in the first place-- she'd actually hoped to spend the evening alone anyhow] and resumed her walk. It was probably quite late now... and Ranyr wasn't one who stayed up often.

"If your dead weight had gotten me mauled to death you would have been too much of an interference. As things stand now you were just another participant in what I like to think of as a rollicking good adventure" it was difficult to tell if he as being sarcastic or not. He was a bit sorry to see her go, not because she had been great company, she hadn't even thanked him for saving her silly little head. He just wanted her to stick around so that they could excitedly compare notes on what had just happened, as is customary after near-death experiences. Besides it was weird to narrowly escape death and then just stroll off into the night, it was not the sort of thing any normal person in the world would do. That girl, Ranier or whatever, was either self-involved to the point of delusion or somewhat less than sane.
"So... Aslin" he said, turning to his friend "I pretty much feel like a right bastard just now. Are you alright? Are you hurt at all?" he asked easing closer to her and gently laying a hand on her shoulder. There was also his unspoken question hanging in the air 'Do you forgive me?', after he had completely gone off on her, after her had nearly stormed off he knew he didn't really deserve to be forgiven. Especially not after she had saved his worthless life. Also unasked was the rather tasteless question he was fervently wondering 'What the hell happened up there?', but if she wanted him to know undoubtedly she would tell him in time.
(Yeah, I know, it's been a while. Sorry. I've been busy lounging on the beach, being fanned by sexy cabana boys, and being brought drinks with paper umbrellas in them. It's a hard life I lead)

[[no worries. i haven't been on either, and Ranyr is in Japan and stuff at the moment, so you don't have to worry too much about being on all the time. As for the guys, "and they say, she's so lucky..."]]
"[red]I'm fine Nic, just a few cuts and bruises, but that is to be expected,[/red]" she said putting her hand over his rather awkwardly. It was not only the fact that under her robe she wore absolutely nothing, but it was more because the argument that had gone on. If Nico thought her crazy that easily....Aislin didn't really know what to think.
"[red]Look...I know that I have had rough times in the past that have led you to find me...a bit in the wrong mind...[/red]" she started, referring to the time when she jumped off of the quittich goal and got mad at Nico for saving her life. "[red]Things haven't really changed, and with Morganna and my parents...well, I suppose you don't really know about my parents, but...[/red]" she was having a rather hard time figuring out what to say. She finally stopped trying, and looked off to the side, past him.
"[red]That was what killed Morganna...my guardian, Artimus, fought him off before...we both thought him dead...apparently, he was not. He is now though, and I guess that's all that matters,[/red]" she said.
She turned back to Nico and let out a soft sob. She cautiously gave him a friendly hug and when she did, she whispered to him, "[red]Just...don't worry about me...ok?[/red]" She wiped a tear from her cheek as she continued to hug him. "[red]This 'beastie' has to get her life under control.[/red]" she said leaning back.
She clutched her robes together tightly, not wanting to expose herself, and she stood before Nico. "[red]You're ok though? You aren't hurt?[/red]" she asked with a worried look on her face.
