Tomas stared at the dolls reluctently. Well at least it'll take my mind off Sophia. He aimed his wand and shouted "Recucto!the figure exploded sending cunks toward him. "Protego!" the peice droped to the floor around him. Maybe i ought to try gyan's approach he thought. "Wingardium Leviosa" He watched the doll raise higher and higher into the air and then when it reached what Tomas thought was a good height he shouted again "Recucto!" The doll blew to peices above his head and the peices rained down on him he thought ok well that's better.

Johana yawned staring at the figures. She heard what she needed to do. She shook her head then stared at the figures longer. She pulled out her wand and just sat there for a minute. Reducto. She repeated in her mind over and over. She grasped her wand tightly pointing it at the first figure.
"Reducto." She muttered but nothing happened. She sighed as she shook her head. She concentrated on the spell and the first figure. She bellowed it in her mind at the same time she spoke it softly. "Reducto." Reducto! Her mind went blank as the figure blew up a little sending pieces of it onto the floor. She smiled then tried again with the next figure.
Nothing happened. She sighed then decided to take a break and concentrate then start again.

Raphael stared at the figures and took out his wand. "Reducto." He mumbled as the first figure blew off his desk. He said it again for the next on but nothing happened. He sighed and kept trying.
After the fourth try the second one blew up. He smiled and tried the next one. This time it took six tries, but he finally did it. On to the fourth one. It took five tries and after it worked he sighed. He tried for the fifth one. After the third try it exploded off his desk. Then he moved to the last one.
"Reducto." Nothing happened. "Reducto!" He yelled softly as the last on exploded off his desk. He smiled and set his wand in his lap then folded his arms.

"Sure, you can stay, Professor Dayton, " Kaelon put special emphasis on the honorific, clearly amused by it. "Oh, and thirty points to Slytherin, miss Barrozzi, excellent job. Fifteen points to Ravenclaw, Gyan, and another fifteen points to Gryffindor for Tomas's work. Deduct three for mister van Lopaille's lateness." he chalked the numbers on the board as he wrote. "I let you off easy, Pepe, since you're not really that late, and it's the first class of mine, anyway. You can take a seat and get to work." He smiled at the boy.
Crossing the room, he whispered jokingly to Chelsea, "There's hope for them, yet, " and he gave her a discreet hug.

"[red]There may be hope for you yet as well, Professor,[/red]" she joked, accepting the subtle embrace. "[red]And how kind of you to only take off fifteen points,[/red]" she said sarcastically. Of course, she was not questioning his teaching skills, but merely being Chelsea. She went too easy on her own students and she had the feeling that Kaelon knew she would do that before they even started. She would be the laid back teacher, but she though he would be more fair.

Kaelon grinned in amusement. "Well, someone's gotta do it. I know you won't, " he teased, "[purple]they'll love you.[/purple]"
Scanning the room again, he added, "[purple]And fifteen points to Gryffindor for mister Clemins's work. Oh, and Johana, perhaps if you were to flick your wand a bit more, that might help.[/purple]"
"[purple]So,[/purple] " he returned his attention to Chelsea, "[purple]how've your classes been going?[/purple]"

Mo stood, pulling his sleeves back. He raised his oak wand, and pointed it at the figures. After several tries, about twelve, actually, he gave up, flopping back down in his chair. It wasn't working; the little dolls hadn't even twitched.

Stradivarius drew his wand, slowly and silently blasting the figures, one by one, from the desktop. This spell was relatively easy, he had experience with it when he was younger; his family used to use it to destroy his belongings just to spite him.

Sophia stared at the figures for a while. She watched Tomas and Gyan do different things that she didn't know. She shook her head trying to focus on her work not theres. She sighed a little worrying that she will be bad at this. She took out her wand and pointed it at the first figure
"Reducto!" She barked at the figure with a flick of her wrist the figure blew off the desk. It took her two times of saying the incantation before the second one blew up. The next one did it on the first try again. The fourth blew up after her third try, same with the fifth on. The last one blew up her first try. She smiled to herself and set her wand down happily.

Chelsea smiled. "[red]They're going fine. I had to deal with Peeves, the little bugger. He was giving one of my students one hell of a time. Other than that, they're fine,[/red]" she replied. She looked around the classroom at the many exploding dolls. "[red]I see yours are going well,[/red]" she said. "[red]As amusing as it is to see you as a teacher, I see you are doing a splended job.[/red]"

Isabella took out her wand and just stared at the figures on her desk trying to figure out what to do. She didn't pay much attention to the teach. She watched Sophia do the spell and blast the figures off her desk. She looked around at everyone else doing it and figured outt what she should do.
"Reducto." She had some experience with magic so each figure blew up on her first try. The last one though too her at least seven tries. It made her rather irritated since the others worked with ease but the last one decided to be rude and not work.

"Fifteen points each to Sophia and Stradivarius, " Kaelon smiled, "and a fifteen to miss Isabella. And thanks, love, " he glanced at Chelsea. "And Peeves? Ouch. Peeves is a nasty little bastard. I had to, uh... teach him to leave me alone a couple days ago."
Glancing over the students again, he pointed out, "Mo, try the spell with a little conviction, son. It won't help you if you're afraid of it."

"[red]Unfortunately I do not have the same amount of power over him as you, and I have to find the Baron every time I need to 'teach' him a lesson. He has taken to finding me alone, the filthy--[/red]" she started cutting off as her statement became a scowl. She smiled a bit at Kaelon and shrugged her shoulders. "[red]Eh. A few bumps and bruises are healthy every now and then I suppose,[/red]" she said. "[red]If there isn't any rough patches, there's nothing to smooth out, and that would be awfully boring,[/red]" she finished, running her fingers through her hair.

After a few dead attempts ((OOC: Gawd, Shakespeare and marching band are both affecting my verbiage, what an odd conglomeration.)), Pepe had successfully blown the little statues on his desk to bits, and sat back, folding his hands across his stomach with an air of ease.

Kaelon squeezed her shoulders affectionately. "True, true. God knows, there've been plenty of rough patches around recently, " he said more quietly, but still with his easy expression. "But it's always darkest before dawn. Defeat the system, though, you know?" This was a phrase he used quite frequently, for various reasons.
"Fifteen points, Pepe, that was very graceful."
